The school year 2012-2013 ended well for us as we felt that we have accomplished what we had to do. We were able to deliver our services to the best of our abilities and we know that most, if not all, of our students took to heart the learning they deserved to have for the year.
Teacher Joanne Robles, the head of the Academics Section, after reviewing the SMO’s (Subject Matter Outlines) of each teacher for the year, has concluded that all lessons prepared for last year were actually taught with plenty of time to spare. That is the reason why there was a lighter academic load by the end of the fourth quarter.
Teacher Jec Montallana, head of the Students Affairs Section, on the other hand confirms that all co-curricular affairs were successfully held. The musical play “The Gods Descending’ was successfully staged at the Meralco Theater in January 2013, including all the monthly thematic activities staged at school.
And so everything culminated in March during the graduation and recognition days. The usual mixed emotions permeated throughout the venues. Some were triumphant, some felt freed, some were crying in relief and some were crying due to the impending goodbyes that were expected to happen.
All in all, it was a good ending.
Which calls for a new beginning.
When classes open in June, there will be new faces to meet. There will be new names to remember. But what psyches us up the most is the knowledge that there will be new and exciting relationships to nurture.
Even now, the school is being swamped with inquiries the number of which has already exceeded that of last year. To top it off, we had been receiving many offline class inquiries from abroad also. It’s nice to welcome 2013-2014!
K+12 UPDATES! The DepEd has just cleared us to institute a bridging program (transition) for those who are age-affected by K+12. The program can help the affected pupil to skip one grade level (ex: from Grade 1 now to Grade 3 next enrollment) by choosing between 2 options, namely: (a) take up additional lessons throughout the school year or (b) take summer classes (this option is still under study).
The school shall make itself ready to apply the said program by June of 2013. Since the clearance is a bit late in coming, we shall no longer be able to apply the program this summer.
Any parent who is interested may please see Ms. Joan Robles or Ms. Sherwin Inocencio for further explanation.
Anyone who visits the school this summer cannot fail to notice the construction going on at the IIS Building. The fifth floor is already tiled and is in the finishing stage. The elevator is expected to be operational by mid- May. This development will be welcome news to the physically challenged among us, we are sure. Parents who wish to watch their children perform at the mini theater will now find it convenient to go up and down. Senior citizens like Sir Alex can now climb with ease.
ENGLISH TUTORIALS- Calling KOREANS, CHINESE, MALAYSIANS, INDONESIANS, JAPANESE AND OTHER ASIANS! Any student who would like to enroll/study in our offline classes may do so even if his knowledge of the English language is close to zero. This has become feasible because the school is ready to supplement their English language education through ONLINE CLASSES! This way they can study regular classroom subjects at the same time while they study English.
We wish to thank all the local and foreign marketeers who responded to our invitation to promote this program.
Even if the foreign student cannot come to Manila to enroll, we can still extend this service to you thru our ONLINE TUTORIALS. We can teach you ONLINE any subject you need help in if you are in the Pre-Elementary, Elementary and Secondary levels. For other details, just check out our website:
